Frank Tyrone
Strickland
October 11, 1957 – March 29, 2026
Frank Tyrone Strickland was born on October 11, 1957, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Frank Allen Strickland and Alvena Strickland. He peacefully made his transition on March 29, 2026.
Frank was educated in the Duval County Public School system and was a proud graduate of Jean Ribault Senior High School, Class of 1976. He went on to become a dedicated and dependable employee of the City of Jacksonville, where he worked faithfully for five years. Known for his loyalty and strong work ethic, Frank took pride in everything he did.
Tyrone(Ty) as he was lovingly known, found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved listening to music (before I let go by maze and Frankie Beverly) and riding around in his car, often enjoying the peace those moments brought him. He was also a devoted sports fan who enjoyed both professional (Dallas Cowboys) and college football (FSU).
Frank was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Alvena Strickland and Frank Allen Strickland, and his son, Frank Tyrone Strickland, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his devoted daughter, Simone Alvena Strickland; his siblings, Alisa Brown (Joseph Brown), Eric Strickland, Allen Strickland and Carolyn Strickland. His last living Aunt Dyris Williams and a host of nieces and nephews including Kia Strickland, Katrice Strickland, Erica Hill, Erica Strickland, Vincent Scott, Allen Strickland, Terrance Tripp, Allen L. Tripp, Corey Tripp, Eric Strickland, Adrian Hogan, Rashad Strickland, and Derick Strickland, Kalin Strickland and Tashawn Strickland . He also leaves behind a host of extended family members and dear friends who will continue to honor his life and legacy.
Frank Tyrone Strickland will be remembered for his quiet strength, his love for family, and the joy he found in life’s everyday moments. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
