May 26, 1993 – October 24, 2025
Rashaud Martin was born on May 26, 1993, to Vanessa Martin and Larry Martin at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. Rashaud attended Rufus E. Payne Elementary School, Kirby-Smith Middle School, and later graduated from A. Philip Randolph Career Academies with his Cisco IT Certification. He then attended FSCJ, where he obtained his A.S. in Networking Services Technology and his B.A.S. in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications, graduating with honors.
Rashaud was a loving and humble son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He was very much a family man who loved putting smiles on others' faces. He stayed positive regardless of his battles and trusted in the Most High God and Jesus. He was talented in many areas, including music production, art, and cooking. He was also a huge anime fanatic and loved gaming, computer programming, and engineering, he even built his own computer in 2017.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ruth and Van Ashley; his paternal grandparents, Johnny Martin and Mamie C. Martin; his uncles, Phillip Ashley, U.S. Martin, and Anthony Hickson Sr.; and his aunt, Jacquelyn Hallback.
Rashaud leaves to cherish his memory: His mother, Vanessa R. Martin, and father, Larry Martin Sr.; his older siblings, LuCretia Martin and Larry S. Martin Jr.; his nephews, Larry R. Martin III, Shamauri A. Oliver, and Lavell R. Martin; his nieces, Bryanna Martin and Zayla A. Martin; his aunts, Mary Ann Shavers, Rebecca Addison, Regina Ashley-Hickson, Cassandra Wells, and Sebrena Parrish; his great-aunt, Charlene Ashley; and his uncles, Johnathan Shavers, Johnny Martin, and Bernie Hallback. He is also survived by his special friend, Ryan Walton, along with a host of cousins, god-siblings, other relatives, and many dear friends who will continue to honor his legacy.
